What Sliding Door Hardware Work Best For My Application?

It really depends on your application specifically.

It depends on the size of the opening and what you want to do.

We’ve got so many different styles of sliding door hardware.

A lot of it has to do with what you want to see.

Some sliding door hardware may operate the same as other hardware, but it has to do with the style you want.

How much do you want to spend?

Functionally, they are all pretty much the same, depending on the type of door, but it’s dependent on what you want to see and how much do you want to spend.

If it’s an interior application, then pretty much all of our sliding door hardware will work with it.

For an exterior application, like an actual barn or a garage door or something, then you are limited to a few different types, because not all of the sliding door hardware is rated for exterior use.

Parts of it can start to degrade because of the weather.

Once you determine if it’s interior or exterior, the weight of the door is a factor, plus the thickness of the door and the material that the door is made out of.

Some of the sliding door hardware does glass and wood, but some only does wood.

Some of it only does glass.

They all have weight ratings. They’ll hold up to a certain amount of weight.

If your door exceeds the weight rating of the sliding door hardware, you can’t use that sliding door hardware with that door.
