Woodfold curved-track systems use a flexible I-beam track that is formed to the required curve during installation rather than supplied pre-shaped. A plywood template can be used to form the track to the desired radius. The minimum recommended radius is 12 inches.

If the opening cannot support a ceiling-mounted accordion door, a freestanding portable partition may be a better solution. Screenflex portable partitions sit on the floor and do not require overhead structural support.

The 140 and 240 Series closet-grade doors are not reversible because the back side uses a utility-grade finish.

For an existing suspended ceiling, a common approach is to create a reinforced support assembly above and below the ceiling material, then secure the door track to that structure. Because support requirements vary by opening and door model, installation should follow the applicable Woodfold® instructions.
Vinyl laminate and hardwood veneer doors are generally not intended to be field-painted. If a painted finish is required, Woodfold® offers paint-grade MDF options and may also provide custom paint or stain finishes. Unfinished doors may have different warranty terms, so confirm the applicable warranty before ordering.
No. Woodfold® vinyl laminate panels are supplied with the laminate pre-applied by the panel manufacturer and are not configured with different vinyl colors on each side. For a multi-color appearance, custom paint or stain options may be available depending on the door series.

This configuration is called a pair. A standard pair divides the opening evenly, with one door stacking to the left and the other stacking to the right.
For example, a 12-foot-wide opening could use two 6-foot door sections that meet in the center.
Uneven pairs are also available when the opening or desired stacking arrangement requires it, such as a 12-foot opening with 9 feet stacking to one side and 3 feet to the other.
For curved installations, Woodfold® uses a flexible aluminum I-beam track that can be shaped at the job site to follow the required path.
The track can be formed to a minimum radius of 12 inches and is suspended from clips secured to the header with screws. This allows the accordion door to follow curved or custom opening configurations.

Woodfold® doors are typically finished with either vinyl laminate or hardwood veneer with a lacquer topcoat. Vinyl laminate panels should not be painted. Hardwood veneer may be lightly hand-sanded and refinished or restained in the field, but care must be taken to keep finishing materials away from panel connectors and saw kerfs. Field refinishing may void the Woodfold® warranty.

The header must be capable of spanning the full opening without sagging and must provide adequate structural support for the weight of the door. The track must remain plumb and level for proper operation. Because structural requirements and building codes vary by project and location, header design and support requirements should be determined locally.
A pair consists of two matched door sections designed to meet within the same opening, typically with one section stacking left and the other stacking right. When ordering, provide the total finished opening width and specify that the configuration is a pair rather than ordering two separate doors.
A sliding jamb allows a larger accordion door to be stored within a pocket constructed at the job site. This can be useful for doors with a large stacked width, where the folded door might otherwise occupy several feet of the opening. When not in use, the door can be moved into the pocket for more compact storage and protection.
When facing the door from its primary side, stack left means the folded door stacks against the wall or jamb on your left. Stack right means it stacks against the wall or jamb on your right. These may also be described as left-hand and right-hand configurations.
An intermediate rolling post can serve several purposes on larger accordion-door installations. It may allow a very large door to be manufactured and shipped in multiple sections that are joined together during installation, making the system easier to handle and move into the building.

Woodfold® track is manufactured in sections up to 12 feet long. The actual track configuration supplied with a door depends on the size and design of the opening. For larger doors, multiple track sections may be joined using splice pins and may be packaged separately from the door.
Woodfold® warranty coverage varies by product, finish, and application. Certain manufacturing defects involving panel connectors, rollers, or panel construction may be covered under applicable factory warranty terms.
